  1. Glenn Ford was soooooo handsome and I just found that he had a long affair with Rita. Makes sense. Their chemistry was out of control. They were one of the romantic couples on the silver screen.

  2. Interesting gypsy look (Carmen) and even more interesting "always hungry gypsy" that with two fingers takes off and throws away the skin from rotisserie chicken before eating 😀

  3. A loose adaptation of Bizet's opera "Carmen". Despite the ugly makeshift scenes of so-called Spanish towns and loud background music, this film
is held up by the captivating Rita Hayworth and handsome talented Glenn
Ford. There definitely was chemistry there!….. And to see Rita dancing to
flamenco music is a real treat.

  4. I’ve always viewed this as a hilarious take on Bizet’s opera Carmen !
A study in orange hues but it’s difficult to not view the team of Hayworth and Ford ! Great upload!!!!
“ Nobody tells Carmen’s eyes where to look!”
    Thanks!!!

  5. A wench's life among bandits, that's what Carmen is. The punishment of depravity is death. Only then it ceases. The joy of reading Prosper Mérimée's original is something else. Because it tells us from a writer's point of view, a good man discovering the immoral lives of great bandits and gypsies to the reader.
Good movie from Hollywood. But we needed a moral point of view. It's as if we were forced to view only the bandits and gypsies.

  6. It makes me laugh that they are trying to color up Glenn Flord to make him look Spanish. I had a Spanish teacher that looks more white than Glenn Ford trying to play this part.

  7. I love Rita Hayworth, she’s a natural beauty! And did I mention a natural flirt too 😉 ooh you could learn a thing from her or two 🙂

  8. I too fell in love with a woman similar to Carmen, I know what Don Jose went through but unlike him I woke up before it was too late but i let her suck the life out of me and that is time i will never get back
