  1. The Pledge of Allegiance was cut. One nation…under God.. Under God was cut. They are in a Catholic school. One nation under God! Devils can't even let an amazing movie alone. Discusting.

  2. I enjoyed Bing Crosby's second and last screen appearance as "Father O'Malley"in this film..it's too bad that he didn't get a second Oscar for his role here.

  3. The priest – Bing Crosby, has the most honourable distinction of singing the most successful, best selling song, in the history of music.

  4. We would have never been wearing our own clothes as kids in Catholic School. We always had uniforms. I wonder how the director missed that detail. This movie means so much to me. I love it. Thank you for posting.

  5. The words on the bottom were supposed to read "An RKO Radio Picture" but I see they've covered it up with a thin gray bar, or something.

  6. I am watching it to learn English, I am sort of enjoying the film, something religious interests me a lot and some scenes are just funny. To tell more, the accent sounds more british, I like it (April 1, 2020)

  7. watching while isolating corona virus, thought ols movies may cheer us all up, and crying and laughing, wonderful movie

  8. "Earthly honors and rewards are not for you" That cat in the hat was the funniest thing. Clarence the Angel 😉 It wasn't until 1954 that the "under God" was added the Pledge of Allegiance. Happy Birthday to You!

  9. This movie was already showing modernism in the 40's that had infiltrated the CC. This is why I want all Catholic articles and religious items before the 1920''s. As a Catholic I can see it seeping in through the Priest Bing is playing. Tradition will come back. And I won't be alive to see it. That is my one regret. Other than that, I will be glad JESUS will get back his Church.

  10. What a wonderful movie. So touching. Made me cry like a baby. I just love Bing in about everything he's done. But this was his finest movie. I know he won an Oscar for his role. Ingrid Bergman was as fine an actress as they come. So very well done.

  11. im glad to be in the comments..full of hope for this generation..when i thought im alone in this busy world, searching for a true meaningful life,i read comments and im grateful for it ..

  12. thank you for the upload it has brought memories of my dad back from when i was a child, he wasnt the best father but he would let me stand on his feet and dance around the room and he love this film and bing

  13. The last moments where the graduates march forward to Pomp & Circumstance caused in me stirrings, bringing back to reflect on the last I heard this when a boy in elementary school in Wash., D.C. graduating 6th grade. My mother had snapped pictures of me after my name was apparently called, I looked very presidential, walking down the aisle to receive congratulations — the picture was since lost.

  14. A Beautiful gift to your Wife Penny. Thank you for sharing this gift with us all. I never tire of watching it. I read everyone's comments. It is a Wonderful Movie about moral's , values. They have not changed as some say. They are instilled in us all. We must remember that. For kindness to life and all we experience , how we conduct ourselves is where ones values lye. What's in our heart's and Soul's. It's to walk with the Grace of God.
