As for me, I enjoyed the movie, a little predictable but, loved it anyway. Probably because I like David Niven and Loretta Young. Thank you. I had never seen this movie before.

I came here from "A Matter of Life and Death" in which Niven plays a dashing RAF pilot.
Niven was a great and charming actor. He wrote "The Moon's A Balloon" in the late 1960s, a wonderful memoir.

At 1:14:35, the ice had to be real. an extra in the background under the staircase slipped and fell.
I really admire those films and the actresses of the golden era were fabulously feminine but I can't help myself notice how skinny they were, as you can easily see they were skin and bones(especially the ones in leading roles and men were no exception)…Now I can comprehend that being slim is definitely healthy and at that period of time people were naturally slimmer then nowadays…but was not kinda too much even for that time?!?
