  1. John Wayne only asking for a chance to take a chance, and stake his claim for black gold……against all odds. Kinda like JW laconic charm, ambling his way into the ladies hearts. Seen many of his John Ford collaborations and love them all.

  2. only certain men have charisma like the great John Wayne, some thing magical about them, Clint Eastwood, Yul Brynner, kirk Douglas. and some others, no one makes a western magical like the great way the westerns where made in the 60s 70s. James Stewart, Gary Cooper, many more but only a few just say a few words in a certain way or style. John Wayne just got better the older he got. the searchers and great westerns had smack you in the face colour, great dramatic music. modern style movies have no great music background enhancements added. that was the secret. eyes ears and excitement, a few words is all is needed, like a bad guy says stop dont hit me mister i didnt do anything, John Wayne says well…you should have…bam!!!! Arnold Schwarzenegger, ill be back!! or get on the chopper!!! only he can say it in a way he can. right or wrong about indians who originally good or evil we dont care, its entertainment, we know history and facts… westerns, sunday arvo or school holidays it was just golden days of great awesome movies not only westerns. modern movies cant touch them they are just magical.
