I watch the film several times and I never have enough. When I feel lonely or. sad I watch it again. It shows the universal law no matter how and no matter how long it takes the road will lead you to your destiny. True infinite love is worth living. Robert Mitchum my favourite actor outstanding personality, elegant, sure of himself,. his aura shines far and wide. He captivates the audience.
I had this on VHS at one time and hadn't seen it since. My husband and I both really enjoyed it as it was kind of about WWII.
I loved Robert Mitchums whole demeanor
Best movie ending ever!!!

Heartwarming story of beloved Veterans before the war and the struggle thereafter … when the monuments/cemeteries were shown <hand over heart in the small corner of my little world> in honour of their sacrifice … a great reminder on any day of something I do not take for granted, liberty.

Yes many WW2 vets are passingaway. When I was in Texas the statistic was that from all USA vets 10,000 were passing away each year if I remember correctly. Just shows how large the US military has been and still is. UP and AWAY for ever. Pilotless aircraft ? Not the same because everybody will shoot them up without any worries except where the junk will fall then they will say it was bombing ?? Nice movie and helps the memories to an old Ex-pat not going home anymore. Thanks and Be Blessed.
BRILLIANT!!!!!!Thank you SOOOOOO much!!!!!!!!!
Has anybody noticed that there is a Gnat on a dispersal apron at Greenham Common before it disappears in the very next shot…
the picture quality is excellent.
super movie. is it available on dvd?
Watching this movie sec time because there is too much crap nowadays The end is incredible,….It,s never too late to fly and to love
Great film. Glad it is on here. been looking for it everywhere. Great cast and story line.
I flew the U.S. Navy version (SNJ) of the single engine aircraft in primary flight training back in 1955/56. Wonderful aircraft.
What a very sweet movie.
Really enjoyed this thanks
Lovely film. Many thanks!
Rabert is big star very very good ❣❣❣❣❣❣????
Mitchum ROCKS!
Times when men were men and women were women, femininity and masculinity at it's very very best.
A fine thing to see this good film! Thanks
After this US Propaganda R Mitchum finally got a globe 1986 from the US-Hollywood/war-cartel… I have appreciated Mitchum since my childhood but this film has absolutely no quality. Imagine, Deborah Kerr and Mitchum wouldn't have taken part in it…still nice to watch just because of the two..
What a lovely film
Good movie. Old Love never rusts and is forever.
Watching this reminds one of the heros, fighters, great with integrity hard work honor and love of country then you look around today at the youth today with no morals, no God, no love of country who cannot tell if they are even male or female, pushing socialism, hating America, letting violent muslim in and floods of illegals sucking off our country and the back of hard working Americans. Younger generations today do not deserve America. So sad to think what the men and women of this era fought for only to be destroyed by liberals, whinny pathetic millennials and corrupt politicians.
?, ? GREAT,
Isn't this Avebury?
How nice – my Dad Was "Smitty the Flight Mechanic'" Army Air Corps WWII and later his hands made the gold foil on the Lunar Lander for DuPont / NASA. Such proud days and such love for America and peace and making good lives, from their experiences. He was stationed in UK and Morocco and Texas USA.
What a lovely film, I enjoyed very much. Thank you
Thank u, Robert Mitchum is my fave actor. Can't wait 2 watch all his films. My Dad was an American Pilot in WW2. He had many screaming war nightmares. He past in Dec. 2016 @ 93 yrs old. Two military men played taps & folded the flag. I have a saved message of him on my phone wishing me a Happy Birthday which I listen to a lot. I have his war green long rain coat, his brown leather vest & a tan cotton life preserver vest. Thank u all 4 making this movie! God Bless, Peace…Love, Pam
GREAT FILM !!!!!
Those two worked together a lot!
Memories of a simpler time I presume.
Thank you, I love watching this movie. Really great actors, nothing like actors today. Robert Mitchum was always one of my favorite actors,.
Fabulous on so many levels!!!
One of the best movies I have seen! Thank you!
