  9. At the time, this film caught the critics off guard. They were expecting a typical sci-fi B movie, but instead were surprised by the films superior script, special effects and vivid colors. The film was praised at the time and that praise has continued through the years. Today it's considered one of the best science fiction films of the 50s.

  10. In the book, there is a galactic war going on an the Earth is “drafted” into the fight. Earth seems to be a great place to make interlocutors which are the prime weapon. Be it known that Earth is being used by the “good guys.” Anyhow, the book worth a read.

  29. Anyone know where I can get a new tuner for my interocitor? It blew last tuesday. It lasted nearly 65 years though. I tried supreme co. But they seem to have gone out of business..

  32. @2:45 Cal says about the airplane, "One of the boys at Lockheed handed me this one." If that's true somebody at Republic it looking for one of their missing jets. The aircraft in question appears to be some model of the F 84 Thunderjet, made by Republic, not Lockheed.

  36. This movie is so indicative of where earth is today. Running out of energy and way to full of population. We are on a path to destruction. Too much government and too little brains
