Dragonwyck (1946)

Gene Tierney and Vincent Price star in an adaptation of Anya Seton’s bestselling novel. Excellent fun for fans of Gothic romance and historical fiction.

  2. INCREDIBLE! The incomparable beauty Gene Tierney and Vincent Price. And NO pregnancy labor screams like we must all endure in todays movies. Thank you.

  3. I don't understand why the farmers are considered good guys here. They are advocating violent overthrow of landowners. Not so different from Bolsheviks. Makes me think Price is sympathetic or a hero here.

  4. How could this stupid idiot not see that he was an ahole from day 1, are some women this damn unobservant…the signs are glaring what a horrible jerk.

  5. Vincent Price is my most favourite actor! He was a great person and was a fantastic actor! Love all of his movies but this is my number one favourite films x

  6. What a marvelous production! Tierney and Price at their best. The basic story we all know of Godless wealth and privileged people vs God-fearing proud hard working people of a lower class. We think we want more from the materialistic world and when we get it , we realize that we were happier before we got it.
Thank you Jill for sharing your movie with us.

  7. How ironic as lm watching the scene with the Doctor expressing his feelings for Miranda in the Carraige…l have a Bubble message on my screen of man from FB who says he's a Doctor and wants me!? ?

    Yeah Jeff! That's the Spirit!

  8. I love gene tierney movies, such a beautiful woman in her time, how beautiful she would be if she were alive and young now, supermodel

  9. A touch of Rebecca, a touch of Pride and Prejudice and a touch of Jane Eyre ,Dragonwyck makes for an entertaining film. Vincent Price is excellent once again . Jean Tierney is beautiful and Spring Byington is perfectly creepy. The sets and costumes are deliciously OTT. Definitely worth a watch.

  10. I love that line about the tower. Asked what could you be doing up in the tower, Vincent Price says – "Anything from pinning butterflies to hiding an insane twin brother." i had to pause it just to laugh.
