  1. It is amazing how many of these really good black and white films are available for free on YouTube. A lot of people especially young ones won't watch anything but colour and if wasn't made in the last five years they are not interested. A lot of these movies are "B" meaning they were quickies made to fill 'double features'. Does anyone remember when you could go to the theatre and see two films. In fact you could sit all day and watch them over and over without anyone throwing you out.

  2. Pete & Repeat were sitting on a log, Pete fell off, who was left ? (ans: Repeat)

  3. Shouldn't they go to the wife's house to check, if there is any trace evidence that they can follow up on?.
Or just sit around and play the guessing game.

  4. I like this movie, but it about three hours ( accordingly no to the movie dialog) before somebody says go look at the house where the mother lives. Not vet goo cop work, maybe trying to build drama.

  5. Ah yeah, "those WERE the days, eh Kate Baxter. I am sixty and friends of 70+ recently reminisced together of the newsreel and the fabulous cartoons, and that exciting INTERMISSION time when you got to go back for an even bigger thrill, THE MAIN FEATURE. So now the Road Runner is no longer heard to cry beep beep as you settle in with jaffas on real wooden floors! yeah, we remember too…and sooo miss it all. cp

  6. rare beautiful story… maybe the ending with the bad guys could have been a little different. Still it is very nice movie. Thanks for sharing

  7. Even if we never saw a "Shadow On The Window", we saw plenty of everything else that makes for a very very good movie. As I am not a movie critique, all I can say is that the picture, sound, settings, photography, dialogue, acting, and plot were pretty exciting! This may have to be entered on my list of 'Fav's'.
The Very Edge is first. The House of Frontons is 2nd. This is the 4th and regrettably forgot the 3rd. Thank you, thank you, hburger 5.
