  2. nicely done to be sure,&a good cast the story lovely.
the climax happened quikly..just when you think the killings over Bang! the honest guy gets hit by car, downer!

  3. Great cast but I had never seen Marta Toren (Laura) before so I wondered why and looked her up on IMDB. She died of a brain hemorrhage at age 31. Think she would have been a great star.

  4. Maybe I'm remembering it wrong, but when I was a kid  I remember reading James Mason had died by suicide.  He left  note saying, "I'm leaving because I'm bored."   Not a bad epitaph.

  5. William Conrad – when he could still fit into a car !
And if ever a movie-ending was ruined by the puritanical Hayes Code this was it. They weren't allowed to get away with it – so a rediculous ending was bolted on to provide 'justice'

  6. Very Good movie but the ending sucked. Should of had them back in the village taking care of the people there, and of course, both of them living happy ever after.
