  1. There's so much preachiness I can take. This movie is insufferable. The first 30 minutres are very promising… the other 90 are a snoozefest.

Stanwyck is completely wasted as the reporter. If her role was as strong and assertive like in the beginning, the movie could've been a lot better.

  2. I believe in these things the principles you stand up and man up and face it you love your woman and family u do the right thing no matter what you b kind work hard be loyal I found the right girl if she will have me trust love one another be respectful

  3. I try to live by the principles espoused in these old films it's a better way of life the whole world should live this way it would be so much simpler more responsible romantic and peaceful

  4. Most radical political movie.
    About true grassroots socialism.
The people taking of each other. And a fascist tries to take over and twist it to his will.

  5. I was watching this movie on "The Movie Channel 5.5" here in NYC last night and fell asleep near the ending so I looked for it here on You Tube and I am so glad you posted this classic movie here that we can see at anytime.

  6. By gone era, now genunity will not work, it's all propogated planted ideas through tech…so sad
How low are we getting is this development & progress..?

  7. When Barbara Stanwyck accepted a lifetime achievement award from the AFI, most of her speech was dedicated to Frank Capra, who had told her that she had something to offer to films. An understatement! She shot to stardom quickly, and, if you know anything about her first husband, Frank Fay, you know that "A Star Is Born" is based on their marriage.

  8. Writer Robert Riskin deserves special comment here. He did an amazing job with this script that overflows with heart and a message of kindness. The pandemic, war and the depression had taken a lot out of people and this movie was full of hope for a better world.
What do expect from the man who married the girl King Kong abducted?

  9. I love good classics and this is one of them. It shows how need is the mother of desperation and poor spirit. After that, when desperation sets in, your even willing to sell out your morals and values for a plate of beans. Some many lessons taught in this. He was made a politician without him wanting to and under false pretense. He was forced to take an ideology it wasn’t;t his own. That reported didn’t;t think about anyone else but herself and wanted to eat the cake too. The worse thing is that a lot of people new it was wrong but they continued without measuring the extend of their deeds.

  10. Holy Sheet, timely and so true for today and what just happened in Nov. A real keeper! Like the line at the end "THE PEOPLE!!!"

  11. We're not disbanding. We aren't going anywhere. Crooks and criminals are seated in high places. The higher they are, the harder they fall. Their money won't save them
