Classic Noir Western I The Hard Hombre (1931) Absolute Westerns



A widow named Martini promises William Patton a job as a cowhand if he succeeds in recovering some of her recently stolen cattle. Patton apprehends the thief, who mistakes him for the notorious outlaw known as the Hard Hombre and pays him money in reparation for the cattle he has already sold. As others mistake Patton for the outlaw, he begins to enjoy wielding power, despite his lifelong pacifism. But, when his cover is blown, he’s in deep trouble.
