  15. Seeing the stairs in person is awesome. I believe the story is very close to fact, and you just have a feeling of overwhelming peace in the church. If ever I get a chance to go back, I will for sure.

  20. I just love this mystical story and the movie it's based on. There are "miracles" happening every day. Whether it be by an "Angel" in human's clothing or by means unknown, God loves us and wants us to love Him and when we do — miracles happen. Amen.

  25. The staircase was built in one night by a miracle. But in the movie, the carpenter struggles for days to find the correct wood. In reality, the wood was not a native wood of Mexico. Also in the real event, no nun was raped or had a child through rape. This is what happens when non Christian Jews make movies about Catholic miracles. Also the nun is portrayed as rather irreverent which is not in any real account of the miracle

  29. Hello. I love the movie and I know the staircase is real and am a believer of the miraculous aspects of the building of it. My question is how true are the side stories in the movie? The contractor's conversion, the murder plot, the implied love interest, the Apache connection, the sickness and timely death of Sister, etc… This was not too long ago, should there not be records or witness testimonies around some of it?

  36. In reality, it was St. Joseph who built the staircase in answer to a novena prayed to him, and this stupid non-Catholic movie makes it seem like a layman who almost falls for a nun. What Catholic can take this seriously? So frustrating! The wood was not from anywhere around and the staircase is miraculously standing against all odds. He touches her hand (romance suggested) and looses his temper from 45:17 through 46:13. Wake up!

  38. Hershey portrays a 'hereshy mother inferior.' Ah, Hollywood 'artistic licence'. The sexual impure language,.phoney storyline about the 'nun' etc. That portrays the modern worldly nuns of the 60's who 'act' as such and were the ones who sold out all that church property including the chapel to developers who were to mercilessly tear it down, stairs and all. It was ordinary people who who intervened and purchased/preserved the chapel, albeit no longer consecrated.

  39. Bless His NAME….I had no idea there was a movie out until a lady told me about it at the swimming pool. I'm going to make it my business to go and see this BEAUTIFUL WORK THAT WAS BUILT BY AN ANGEL OF GOD. It's good to know how the Lord works. I'm going to plan my trip soon.
