  1. The actor playing the Baron (Georg) – Joseph Schildkraut – was very accomplished and played a great weasel too. He did the same in The Shop Around the Corner, Christmas movie.

  2. There's no real talent today back then u were either good or u didn't eat the nudity crime profanity explosions etc r to prop up a poor script Eddie Albert said they try to cut writers out of the budget to save money and more profit it's like the difference of Mr Deeds goes to town an the remake Deeds which sux or the trilogy of a man called horse films 1 and 2 were excellent but 3 was so blatent an attempt to make money from 1 and2 it was shameful o r Death wish 1 and 2 4 and 5 great but 3 really sucked

  3. Older movies are like drinking a glass of fine wine. Many newer movies…
    .
.. are like drinking dirty water out of a fancy glass. Where did we go wrong?

  4. I Love, Love, Love this movie! I REALLY love William Powell. I'll be drug over the coals for saying this, but today's actors don't as nd can't compare. I think it's called CLASS, and William Powell definitely had it!

  5. Annabella was Tyrone Powers first wife who was 7 years older than he was. They divorced, Power married and divorced Linda Christain. He asked Annabella to take him back but she declined.

  6. Love you black-and-white movies I love the Mysteries we have to use your mind tired of the sex at the movies tired of the file language it's great to see a good murder mystery comedy they don't make movies like they used to

  9. Annabella was impossible to take your eyes off of… but I'm sure people complained that they did not understand her through the thick accent. But like Arnold S. she got easier to understand… then went back to France for a long movie career.
