  4. Great movie – they don't make them like this anymore; terrific develoment of the different characters, good plot, a thread of tension yet enjoyable humorous vignettes.
    And no vulgarities to endure!

  7. Never had so many big laughs in serious scenes. Hitchcock could have had a real winner in a movie remake. I always laugh loudly watching old gangster movies when they shoot one another and they fall to the ground.

  11. I love the closed captions: "He just farted a new world council." The champion of the common man being such a shit to his secretary and servicepersons is a hilarious touch, one of many. Excellently constructed yarn.

  14. I enjoy the films from this era of British Filmmaking immensely; my late Mother exposed me to them as a youngster; I cannot thank her enough.
