A colonial police detective in an Eastern seaport seeks a stolen gem, and infiltrates the underworld by posing as a look-alike wharfside bar owner.

Newmeyer, produced by Ray Kirkwood, written by Norman Springer, starring Lon Chaney Jr. as Detective Jack Wilson / Butch Curtain, Sheila Terry as Edith Bentley, Zarah Tazil as Mora, Philip Ahn as Wu Ting, John Ince as Joe Bentley, Manuel López as Johnny Fly, Richard Cramer as Inspector Green, Merrill McCormick as Jalla (the Money-Lender) and John Lester Johnson as John, the Bartender.

  1. This blows me away! Ray Kirkwood was my Grandpa and his wife Zarah Tazil was my Grandma . I’m floored that I found these movies on YOUTUBE. I’m especially floored anyone watched them let alone commented !!

  3. Ms. Wilder a lovely name), I understand what you mean, I think, but the real magic of film is that each film stands alone, forever. Make one great film, and an endless number of bad films will be forgotten, while the great remains great. Cinema transcends the infantile view of "What have you done for me lately?."
    Oh…I must admit that, given the time context, "The Wolfman" beats the competition, and ALL modern "zombie" or "vampire" flicks. Period. My opinion only, I fully and sadly realize.
