Deanna Durbin in “Spring Parade” (1940)

“Spring Parade” (1940)

Starring Deanna Durbin, Robert Cummings, S. Z. “Cuddles” Sakall, Allyn Joslyn, Mischa Auer and many other favourites.

Directed by Henry Koster.
Photographed by Joseph Valentine.
Screenplay by Bruce Manning & Felix Jackson.
Songs (mostly) by Gus Kahn & Robert Stolz.
Produced by Universal.

I’ve uploaded this copy of “Spring Parade” because:
a) it (along with “It’s a Date”) is not available on any official DVD anywhere, to the best of my knowledge;
b) the version available on YT at the time of posting is even worse than this one.

  1. She had it all, beauty, voice, and a brilliant actress, I have the box set, she was always chasing older men, she was known as Winnipegs sweetheart, Winston Churchill, said Deanna durbin was his favourite actress, Anne Frank had an LP of her songs. Deanna durbin was the full package, brilliant!

  2. God pulled up a chair to listen to her beautiful singing and dancing as she sings and dance for God and his angels forever.

  3. the story was based on Ernest Marishka, who was a filmmaker in Germany both occupied and unoccupied. Was this a remake of a German or Austrian film made in the 30s?

  4. I absolutely love this movie. I love Deanna Durbin. She is one of my favorite actress. She is very lovely and talented. Thank you for making it available to watch over and over again.

  5. I did open online horoscope after watching this movie to see if I would have a tap by a stick at court ball the coming year for my love.
