Judgment At Nuremberg

The event the world will never forget! Winner of Two Academy Awards® including Actor in a Leading Role (Maximilian Schell, “A Bridge Too Far”) and nominated for eleven, including Best Picture, “Judgment at Nuremberg” is a magnificent achievement in filmmaking, boasting brilliant performances by an all-star cast. American judge Dan Haywood (Spencer Tracy, “Inherit the Wind”) presides over the trial of four German jurists accused of “legalizing” Nazi atrocities. But as graphic accounts of sterilization and murder unfold in the courtroom, mounting political pressure for leniency forces Haywood to make the most harrowing and difficult decision of his career. This masterpiece, considered by many as one of the greatest films of all time was directed by the great Stanley Kramer (“The Defiant Ones””) with a stupendous cast that includes Burt Lancaster, Richard Widmark, Marlene Dietrich, Judy Garland, Montgomery Clift and William Shatner.

  1. Fell asleep & woke up w this stupid movie…should never have been made….its the same about the Spielberg move…some things are too bad to make movies about… this is one subject.

  2. I learned photography from the Famous Photographers School of Westport, Connecticut in the last century; and there are several movies which ideally demonstrate the lessons I learned in lighting, posing, fields of focus, and composition. This is one of the best. "Sound of Music" is another, plus almost any film by Alfred Hitchcock. Films in black & white had to rely more on these attributes to set the mood and character of the movie than those filmed in color. It was the art of painting with light!

  3. This is one of my favorite films of all time, I saw in when I was in my early teens the first time, after my 20's I started appreciating it more and more. I would suggest to any parent you have your kids sit down and watch it as well.
