More beautiful than the stars in the heaven and God's grace, these little bundles of life present themselves to me.
Expected some depth to this movie but its very superficial in all aspects… Or was that the point to see the boring existence of unintellegent but rich people?
Never cared for realistic dramas….just too weary to watch. Not sure why this dreary film was made, much too drab for the subject~married boredom.~imo

Very strange to watch this after watching her in stromboli
Rossellini's film style and script is a gem. Fabulous restoration of this film. Ingrid Bergman;s portrayal of an unhappy wife, as to be expected is impeccably acted, truthful and compelling. All the actors are great. The scenes of street life and more, side by side with ancient Italy's treasures serve as commentaries on life and death and the rebirth of Italy after the war: the film is an important documentary hidden within the script. Thank you for uploading such a beautiful film and it's equally wonderful restoration.
