  1. 5 stars!! The dialogue was incredible and the actors were great. Today's actors have no class. The poor dear needs children to occupy her time and show her how much she is loved. Comically adorable.

  2. This is an either you like it or you don't movie.I know that's true of all films but somehow more so with this one. Reginald Gardiner was not quite the right guy for this. In 'The Horn Blows at Midnight' he has brilliant comic timing. His portrayal as a fake symphony conductor is virtuosic, wherein he is actually a con artist. In 'My Life With Caroline' he is unfortunately rather leaden but then, of course he makes Coleman all the more attractive. And Colman, as always is excellent. So too is Charles Winninger. A little more of Gilbert Roland would have unquestionably helped. I don't like the character of Caroline very much, nevertheless Anna Lee did a wonderful job of playing her. And last but not least, kudos to the Bull Dog, who is quite a sweet fellow after all.

  3. Introducing Anna Lee in this film……….later on to have longevity in the role of Lila Quartermaine on General Hospital an American soap opera.

  4. What a delightful romp! Gilbert Roland ~ I can't forget the affair he had with Greta Garbo and then threw away his life on alcohol ~ what a waste! Although, at one time Marlene Dietrich came to Roland's rescue sobering him up for a while until another man drew her attention away from Roland.

  5. My husband just asked me: "Don't they do screen tests?" He was referring, of course, to the un-talent of Anna Lee. You had every ingredient for a fun film: great sets, beautiful camera work, Reginald Gardner, Winninger – the same Ronald Colman who was magnificent in "Champagne for Caesar" – and you put them in a movie with Anna Lee and the film goes flat like a tire. Take these same actors and give them Jean Arthur to act around and – excellence! What a bore.
