  1. Intrigue lots of intrigue. The twin on twin effects have a few faults, print flaws, but are quite palatable anyway. Very entertaining. Lew Ayers is always believable as his character, and de Havilland is quite convincing as the twins and their individual peculiarities. She was quite lovely in this movie

  2. I always liked Olivia De Havilland great actress especially The Heiress. This by far is the worst movie and performance I’d ever come across with her.?

  4. Thanks. Great film showcasing Olivia de Havilland's marvelous, multiple talents. You can never judge her on "…Wind" alone…

  5. Now I know why Elwy Yost liked Ruobert Siodmack films — they’re so good,! (Altho I naively thought that it was Robt C. Odmack —I was much younger then, of course.)

  6. WAIT A MINUTE! Stop the music!

  8. The women in these old movies always were beautifully dressed because the studios had outstanding designers and costuming departments. In reality shop girls might have one good outfit and a couple of dresses to wear. They are always dressed to the nines in the movies. They had to be glamorous.

  9. i knew a pair of twins back in high school, and i was always able to tell them apart. one had slightly darker hair than the other, and a slightly more dour personality. i had no trouble telling them apart.
