  1. Everyone's comments are so right , today's movies can't hold a place against these absolutely great classics. Great ( I think 80 mins) of great light hearted fun. Love old classics. Try I married a Witch with Veronica Lake.

  2. This classic 40s film "THE CRYSTAL BALL (1943)" was originally a Paramount Picture that got sold to United Artist for distribution rights at the time of its theatrical release along with two other Paramount film products like "I MARRIED A WITCH (1942)" and "YOUNG AND WILLING (1943)". Why? Because the studio of Paramount Pictures was making over 60 to 70 movies for block booking films at their Paramount theaters in the US country of 1942, however these three Paramount classics were not available or unable to get booked at the Paramount theatres before they would be released. So Paramount decided to sell their three movies to United Artist which this studio did not have enough movies to be produced or released to movie theaters. So "I MARRIED A WITCH (1942), THE CRYSTAL BALL (1943) and YOUNG AND WILLING (1943)" are now independent Hollywood classics from Paramount Pictures to United Artist.
