  1. "I shan't be long" ~ LOL! The background noises crack me up, something that I remember as a child that scared me. The lady's outfits are extremely unbecoming in the 50s! Boxy & plain looking. These are movies we used to watch on Friday nights as a teenager. Our favorite one was "The Brain that Wouldn't Die" – it's a real Hokie gem!

  2. I think vintage Italian space opera is so imaginative. Intelligent plot here, though I think it inspired many later imitations. ("Day The Earth Caught Fire,"  Irwin Allen's "City Beneath The Sea," readily come to mind.) Showing an International Space launch made it easier to segue into the resulting global threat. But stopping the problem seemed like less of a success when radioactive fallout raining down was likely. The voiceover of astronaut John McLaren sounded like actor Shane Rimmer, who went on to supply the voice of Scott Tracy in Gerry Anderson's "Thunderbirds." And yes, I, too, was annoyed by the woman in the crowd scenes calling out for her baby… over and over and over!

  3. sexiest pigs LOL animal abuse all are still around. Of course real scientists do not freak out and carry on until after they succeed. Still fun to watch even if it is a bomb.
