❤️ Thank you Jonathan
Back then everyone wears suit
Fantastic. And so great to recognize so many faces that would later appear in so many other movies – like at 47.44 … the cranky Scot in Dad's Army.
I enjoyed these stories by Somerset Maugham. He is one of my favorites. Thank you.
Wonderful film with some unexpected twists in the plots. And no swearing! Very good.
Thank you
Unlike Mr. Maugham’s other novels, these are charming and humorous. I love these stories! Thanks!
Henry Chester seems to think that bad health is only the punishment for wicked people.
Marvellous film from a marvellous author
Thanks so much for posting. The Verger is a longtime favorite.
I feel so sad for the people living in the sanatorium. TB is now more easily curable, but these people lived in a way that they only knew. The three were pleasant movies.
A delicate movie..as a very senior in America, it touched my heart.
Cannot tolerate the trash produced today, anywhere in the world.
Interestingly, for Tuberculosis it is not the fresh air that aids recovery but the Vitamin D3 obtained from being in sunshine, so the Swiss clinics are no longer in existence: vitamin D3 is incredibly helpful for all diseases, being a major factor for the human immune system.
Kathleen Harrison from Scrooge. 1892 – 1995. Amazing actress. Edit: Sydney Box production. His wife Muriel Box directed a British fave of mine in 1964 called, 'Rattle of a Simple Man.' Sadly, unavailable in any format.
Excellent!
Thank you for posting this movie. In 1998 I was on a British Airways flight returning from London to Chicago. I asked a tall Englishman if he could place something for me in the overhead compartment. His reply was, enchanted. I’ll never forget that.
I’m a 70’s baby and love these movies. Brings me calm
It's so much fun seeing that people who are now all late in their lives or since passed were EXACTLY like we were and the same
as the youth of today!
Marvelous…. Brilliant…. Thankyou 🙂
In crazy time like this, it is so comforting to be able to enjoy those classics and find a little peace. I love the story of The Verger: When one door is closed, another door opens for you. Universe always has the best and right plan. I also enjoyed Know It All: We always tend to judge a human based on our own experience. Sometimes you can find a good heart from the most unexpected person.
….always gotta throw in the eye candy….
just fabulous
Such superb writing and acting. It was a pleasure to watch. I so enjoy human interest stories and the twist in the end. Thank you for the upload.
not one dull moment.
Por favor podrían pasar todas las pelis al español, me encantan las antiguas!!!!!
Yes an OK show…specially seeing the lovely Jean Simmons
I really enjoyed this movie. Wonderful acting and very thought-provoking as well. Give me these old movies anytime. Maybe one day producers and directors will realize that they don't need computers/special effects to make a great movie.
Call me Max what a great ending to a brilliant film wish it was longer all 3 films are great cinema nothing like the old films what has happened to the art of movie making ?
Man: “ you wouldn’t mind then if I kiss you? “
Woman: { I can’t think of anything I’d like less }.
Back in the days when acting and story telling was an art form. Marvelous …. and fine acting. Outstanding video quality too. Thank you.
I was filled with anxiety until I watched the video. By the end of the second story, I noticed I my breathing was calm, pleasant and unforced. Thoroughly enjoy watching these classic Sommerset Maugham movies. Razor’s Edge a favorite. Thank you.
I love the short stories of W. SOMERSET MAUGHAN.
