PLOT (Wikipedia): Drifter Johnny Moon (William Shatner) is frequently attacked as he is mistaken for his twin brother Notah who leads Comanche war parties in attacks on the white population whilst he is having visions on peyote. Johnny travels to a Comanche encampment where he challenges his brother to a fight to the death in the town of Rio Hondo. When Johnny rides into Rio Hondo he finds the town is at boiling point between two warring factions with only Sheriff Lomax (Joseph Cotten) keeping the peace. One of the factions discovers Johnny’s prowess with his six gun and tries to hire him. Johnny says he will give his answer in four days, after the climax with his brother.

Captain Kirk is good on a horse with a six shooter instead of phaser.
First few minutes picture is looking dark and indistinct while cowboy action happening against a jaunty jazz score. Very different! I may return later to see more.

Sorry, but he should have stayed on the Enterprise. Gives me a headache noticing all the terrible messed up details of an Italo western; music that doesn´t deserve the name, the poor horses ridden by amateurs and being treated rottenly( usual for too many decades), clearly an european/italian type of horses. Hair, make-up, but worst of all the appearance of the tribal people… No more to say…
