I love all of the versions of this movie! Love love love!
It's Christmas in July. I'm watching this movie and drinking lemonade on a hot summer day. I hope everyone is safe from the Corona Virus Pandemic and we can enjoy this holiday classic in Christmas 2020.
A GRETA AND POSSIBLY BEST VERSION OF THIS INCREDIBLE STORY BUT CLOSE CAPTIONING SUCKS AS THE ONE WHO DID IT "SHOULD" HAVE BEEN BRITISH FOR AMERICANS HAVE NO CLUE OF BRITISH DIALECT
I sure hope that Scrooge's redemption meant that Mr Wilkins didn't have to go to debtor's prison.
I just came here because I'm like scrooge no friends but money lolz
When Marley was lying on his death bed, you can tell that he is scared, cause he knew he was going to hell as punishment with chains on him and then wanders the earth
No one portrayed scrooge like Alistair sims, no one even comes close. This is by far the best version ever produced
I love this version to death. The part where Marley shows Scrooge the ghosts still scares me a little
I would like to point out that if you turn on closed captions, at 1:22:04 it reads "lift" "penis".
Best film version, no matter how many new ones they make. B & W format makes you feel as though you are back there in Scrooge's time.
A christmas carol and movie, 1951 1951thank the magi…and the little one sweet.it lives forever and ever.private
@Captionlook S4 This is the very best upload of Scrooge I have ever seen. This movie is a treasure and so enjoyable when the picture and sound are this good. Thank you so much for sharing this great pleasure with us!
The old films are always the best 💞💞😍
I didn't understand it very much but I liked it… i'm italian teenager
Xmas eve the demons descended upon my poor brain even though I took 3 Ambien to ward them off.The next night,I enjoyed dinner at my gf's sisters, playing guitar and such until they broke out the hillbilly music and I had to flee.
The moral is you can be a nasty bastard and then demand forgiveness by buying people with fancy things.
Never have I seen a movie so impressively transformed by the use of HD as shown here! Absolutely stunning!
No matter how many times this classic movie is seen it still has the power to stir the emotions. Barbara Allen does it for me every time. What an amazing movie! KAN 24 DEC 19 UK
Of all the cinematic renditions of "A Christmas Carol", this one is the absolute best. A genuine classic, very atmospheric, and Alastair Sim is perfect.
1:20:03 this sweet, poignant scene with the servant girl is enough to put a tear in your eye… superbly acted.
Bullied by spirits.
Thank you kindly for sharing this💖💛
God bless us all except Trump
Of all the versions of A Christmas Carol, that I've seen, this is still my all-time favorite. ❤
To all those watching with me this Cristmas eve right now. Merry Christmas!!!
Love Alistair Sim❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Merry Xmas everyone around the world! Blessings from UK 🙂
Best Scrooge ever!!!!!!! Reginald Owen was good as was George C Scott but Alistair Sim was and will always be the greatest Ebenezer Scrooge. And now “ I must stand on my head”.
Best version of Christmas Carol ever. So scary in B&W
This is Stunning Quality !! I don't know how you did it, but this is the BEST upload available. THANK You
This is the only version, every aspect, can't say enough about it!
YouTube's awful subtitles.
Thank you very much for putting the best Christmas Carol movie ever made up on here. 17 people who don’t like it must be morons.
If you look carefully at the menagerie of lost souls in Scrooge's backyard, you will see that they actually reuse the actor who plays Bob cratchit…
💙🔥💙
The #1 Best Scrooge Film, ever!!! Love this since I saw it as a child!!!!!
All of your comments are spot on. I also have seen many versions of such a fantastic Christmas story! This is certainly the best! The music also makes this movie spectacular!!!!!! It’s ominous and joyful! It fits the scenes perfectly. A yearly delight several times before Christmas!
What happened to his bowl of soup when he jumped up.
No film of the Christmas Carol can beat this, lay on couch with bad arthritis this I cheering me up thanks x
It's a tradition between my mum and me to watch this every year when it's on tv over Christmas. Now we can watch it Christmas eve, all the better. Thanks for the upload.☃️
Scoorge is nearly a bit like albert einstein
Awesome classic. This version, and the 1984 version starring George C. Scott as Scrooge are my 2 all-time favourites.
Best version of a Christmas Carol in my opinion
I love this movie I watch it all alone every year
It's good that the Christma spirit tells about Jesus Christ on our hearts because most films takes away from the truth Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven God bless you all
This version is the best , Alistair Sim portrays scrooge the best! Gives me goosebumps every time, I recommend to watch it xmas eve, I usually watch it twice over the holidays, Merry Christmas 🎄
Weird the choice to make Fanny older than Scrooge than in the novel. I know it was to set up that his Father blamed him for his mother's death like he blamed his nephew. Still weird considering Fanny was actually younger than Scrooge in the book.
Allister Sim is so good makes me well up every time
