Alan Colby reappears after a seven year absence, only to be murdered before he can claim his inheritance. The Lowells have been living off the Colby fortune, and now someone is trying to kill Henrietta Lowell, the matriarch of the family. i posted that because some folks thought they were. I know one was Scandinavian, cant remember offhand which, they were just great at their craft!

Great! All the mystery of a good old Charlie Chan b+w movie with a damn good surprise ending. I prefer this Chan (Warner Oland) to Sidney Toler. This guy is more serious. Toler's movies had too much buffoonery in them for me.

I remember as a young child I couldn't wait for Sunday afternoons to arrive so I could watch Charlie Chan movies… I like both actors Sidney Toler and Warner Oland portrayal of Charlie Chan however, I prefer Sidney Toler for the reason of the comedy and lightheartedness.. ………………….. ………………. also love No. 1, No. 2 son he cracks me up… Pop! Pop! Poppp!!! … lol

love these old Charlie Chan movies. the remind of my parents when we were all kids and watching them on tv.can not get enough of them.

Theres a calmness in watching these old movies. It keeps your interest without making you nervous . Films today can't seem to capture the flavor of older movies.
