  1. A beautiful, heartwarming movie. But why do you list William Lundigan as one of the three top actors, when he has only a minor role? And Ethel Barrymore is not on stage that much. And you completely ignore one of the finest African-American actresses of the 20th century–Ethel "His Eye Is on the Sparrow" Walters–who dominates every scene in which she appears, as she did in every movie she made. For shame! Please correct this horrible snub!

  2. Saw this movie when I was a child , I know now why m9m covered my eyes then changed the channel. Have to admit the boys made me ill then and now.

  3. I’ve noticed how so very many of these old pictures have reference to God and/or the Bible. I know everything wasn’t roses back then, but it goes to show how far we, as a society, have sunken in our moral standards and values. Today about the only time we hear “God” is through cursing and swearing. And it’s every other word for many.

Needless to say I enjoyed this very much.
