They will never make fantastic movies like they did back in the day the movie stars today sit on their brains if it wasn't for vulgarity and nudity and violence they'd probably be working at a fast food restaurant cleaning out the toilets and flipping burgers. God bless the movie stars of yesteryear those days are gone forever. 😒
Great movie! Ida Lupino was great actress and director!
With Ida Lupina as a producer, you know it's going be a good flick..
Ty for posting!❤
Oh my god what an entertainer!! WHOULDN’T Jump on That!!😂😂😂😂😂
Because society would not except her to have a baby, mothers also kept the father from even knowing he has a child. “The good old days”
Agreed. Never look for a spouse in a bar.
The ending was great ❤
My brother and eventually i would have been better off or never been if mom's mom and dad's parents hadn't forced their way too young marriage of 15 & 17 years old in 1964.
Abortion was illegal then
Morel of the story: Main course for bad boy and leftovers for good boy.
❤… just saw it…thank you
It's hard to go through life as a narcissist
What a powerful movie!
pretty girl & one helluva runner.
Access to mental health support makes a lot of difference too
Back in the “good old days” there was no access for a young unmarried woman to reliable birth control…
Looking back on the “good old days” …This whole tragedy wouldn’t have happened to Sally if she’d had access to birth control
Fantastic movie!
Excellent movie
The best ending would have been getting her baby back. 😞
Beautiful movie🌟
Robert Mitchum in Cape Fear & Night of the Hunter is still frightening & scary. No need of bad words, tattoos, other than Love & Hate on his knuckles. Can't watch either movie without a blanket & all the lights on!
I don't watch the remakes anymore. Cape Fear is so chilling. There were no tattoos, bad words, & violence was implied. Robet Mitchum could stop your heart saying 'Councler
1:15:50 It's lovely how Mrs Stone doesn't push her to make her decision. She waits until she is ready. Compare that to the story 'Philomena' in which the nuns punished all the unwed mothers, treating them with contempt.
And Drew is a star. He doesn't give up on Sally.
What an enlightened film for the time

I have to keep slapping myself to remind me its a movie, but its so convincing by all those involved, i cant stop😢😢😢
Sad story
These people never stop smoking.
Ida directed a Twilight Zone episode and acted in one. Also, an Alfred Hitchcock Presents episode. She directed several Thriller tv episodes as well. Check out her genius abilities.
She should have gone for the nice guy.,,,she could have married the nice guy and lived happily ever after..
Ah, back when people left babies outside for the taking! My how times have changed…you see that on Call the Midwife and old movies all the time…I don't see how it was ever safe.
Those babies are adorable .
Steve is played by Sean Penn's father
Very nice
GREAT MOVIE✍️
Ida Lupino, what a talent! She was as good in front as she was behind the camera!!! What a movie!!!
Only those B&W movies, left me speechless with my mouth open out of nowhere! I love those kind of scenarios, as I like twists and turns that you couldn't see them coming!!
Great film! Made me cry at the end during the chase! Wonderful! THank you for this
