Was this remade into Dead of Winter?
Would anybody loVe to make me understand the story. English is my second language. Please..how did she get to that home and why did the son and mother want to kill her ?
If it's like a Hitchcock flick then I'll watch it. I like Nina Foch, and with one glimpse of the creepy actor at 5:33 I know it'll be good and scary. Great sound too!
His mother should have slapped his legs harder when he was a child.
What a great Movie~Thank you so much for posting~🌻💐…I absolutely Love old black and white movies~The atmosphere is so brilliant ~Also the furnishings are amazing to see ~ I subscribed and I am looking for another of your movies to watch 💕 Blessing and Health ~
I agree hitchcock must have had a hand in this one, great build up. 💜
The mother and son actually resemble each other.
That's the youngest I've seen NINA FOCH look.
Ralph went down a tad early before the bang
Excellent film well worth watching 👍👍 thanks
Asking anyone that knows the name of a black and white women's prison movie from the 40s or 50s where the head matron gets electrocuted under the hair dryer of the jails Beauty Salon. I can't find it but I remember seeing it as a little kid. Thank you
This is such a terrific film. Thank you for uploading it.
OOPS! At 50:12 Julia forgot to close the panel where she was listening to the crazy man and his mother.
GREAT old movie!
Do you ever get this feeling, that's she's Marion Hughes?
I knew when it started that it'd be a great flick. I can't wait to see it.
"I'LL GET YOU MY PRETTY!!!"….. yes?🤔

All they had to do was to spray her with ant pheromones and she would have done anything they told her to..🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜😷🛎🙊🐒🐜🐜🐜🐜🐜🛸🥳🍯🍮
What an idiot..she just should have known better
FABULOUS😍😍😍
Oh my, what a movie! Haven't seen one of these good old suspense filled movies in a long time!!! 💖💖
Mother and son are deliciously twisted and evil. too bad their victim is sturdy, nerveless Nina Foch miscast as a trembling kidnappee, a part for a young Joan Fontaine.
I've seen the remake, so I kind of knew the plot.
But, I had never seen this before, so thanks for posting.
"Go the other way, Julia!" Cute ending.
Well, it's enjoyable, suspensful and well done, but you don''t have to think about it very long, to realise how implausible it all is!
Play along and you'll get your change….
💯👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💛💜💚👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💯
An ok film. A bit silly but entertaining.
Good movie full of suspense but the ending was a bit silly.
maid: my sister also had her "appendix' removed…it don't bother her
anymore.
lady: why?
maid: she died.
gee, i wonder what they were referring to? This referral to abortion isn't prudish, it's civil; something we could use more of.
Excellent movie.
I absolutely adore a good old British film.❤
The Copper Beeches, eh?
Is she the girl from the Ten Commandments?
Wonderful movie. It moved right along. Some of the Hitchcock movies were tedious at times.
Hip hip hooray! Thoroughly enjoyed that, thanks for uploading.
That husband was a real gem of a psycho and the mother so conniving.
Looke like the JE Island .
What a fabulous film!
17 minutes in, and it’s getting really interesting! I’ll keep watching….. 👍👀 I didn’t like the ending. Typical old movie where it just ends. Nooooo. Tell us more Scoffs 2🌟🌟
They made films much better then
I still love Dame May Whitty from the lady vanishes.❤️❤️❤️
