  4. I remember seeing this on the big screen as a young kid The scene where it takes the woman with such speed and leaves the baby scared the hell out of me thanks for uploading such a classic movie

  5. On certain views the tiger looks giant with a massive head, predatory mouth, giant curved teeth, and a savage man-eating strut. When they show him walking weaving through the bushes or walking he seems very pedestrian. These men are supposed to be great shots but when Harry has a good chance he blows it like a JV-rookie and misses by 8-10 feet? They do not have scopes? They are supposed to be good at this game but Harry puts himself very exposed and the tiger gets pissed when shot at and go straight to Harry and mauls the crap out of him! Harry is an angry lonely man with some crappy event during WW2 that he carries around with him like his fake leg.

  6. While the love triangle gets in the way, I enjoyed the move, that is now somewhat dated, but the story of a tiger stalking a hunter is worthy of a remake, along the lines of THE GHOST AND THE DARKNESS.

  9. I used to read that novel when I was a kid and this had been included in the Reader's Digest Condensed Collection along with A Single Pebble and Old Yeller…

Now, in 2022 and in my mid 20's, I will recall the scenes in this classic film and compare from what I read from the book..

    A timeless masterpiece, indeed..

  10. Wow !!!! I was so fortunate to accidentally stumble on this unknown gem, while trying to search something else.

What a time it was many decades ago when much of India was a Tiger country. Beautifully made, alongside pristine Indian countryside and wilderness, the personal love story gives it an emotional touch. All incredible actors including I.S Johar as Babu. And Stewart Granger has such an incredible personality and an amazing actor. I love him in King Solomon's mines and Bhowani Junction. And now here's another of his classic that I just discovered. Thanks for posting. Carry on the good work by posting such rare/obscure gems.

  11. It is soo boring movie. Whole thing supposed to be done in 30 mnts. They dragged and dragged , it felt like a 10 hr movie. There is more of a two legged wild life than a four legged wild life.

  12. The entire movie was shot in my father's village (village's name is Hangala in Karnataka, India). 3:23 is my dad. Pleasantly surprised to find the movie. I tried to get this movie for around 15 years but couldn't. Thanks !!

  13. This is a great movie. Man eaters are old tigers that have found easy pickings with the all the villages that keep growing into their habitat. Killing a man eater isn't that bad as killing a tiger for mere sport. I have seen tigers at the zoo, but never one in the wilderness. I hope that tigers flourish in the wild for a long long time.
