  1. The statue-like 1/4 and 3/4 profile poses the director asks for, even from extras, are an interesting sculptural approach to shaping emotional perceptions.
Students of representational arts and music will recognize a rare use of such sculptural evocation.

  2. A sawbuck is an x-shaped cradle for holding wood to be sawed or bucked into short splittable rounds. I have no idea of what else it means in ancient slang.

  3. Jai aimé ce film , mais jai horreur de la colorisation, doivent rester dans leurs états général, un bon policier de années 40 est bien plus beau en noir et blanc que cette colorisation.

  4. This is addresed to Eddie Mueller of "Noir Alley". I am a real connosseur of one-dimensional -without a single redeeming feature, screen villains. They're few and far between.e.g.Ernest Borgnine as 'Fatso Judson' in FROM HERE TO ETERNITY, Lee Marvin as Liberty Vallance, Joaqin Phoenix as the ultra vile Emperor Commodus in Gladiator, 2000. AND, Now unappreciated till restoration, Steve Cochrane in the CHASE. 1946. He was maybe, the pioneer of this kind of villainy. Norman L. Roth.

  5. Мазилки, как дети малые фильмы раскрашивают. Всю атмосферу убили. Лица желтые, в пятнах. Напачкали. Если руки чешутся, накупите книжек-раскрасок и раскрашивайте.

  6. Its like the United Nations in the comments 😂 Well i from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 and really enjoyed the film with my wife.Cheers 👍

  7. I Love seeing these old movies Colorized. I have 50 of them myself,& wish they'd colorize Marie Anotinette. The only film I do not want to ever see colorized is the 1951 The Day The Earth Stood Still; being in B & W is part of it's seriousness & believability.

  8. You have ruined this film. It looks terrible. Who gave you this machine that vandalizes bw films. You need to be sued for damages. Would you vandalize Van Goghs Sunflowers by repainting over it with black & white paint? This is just the same in reverse. You are shameful & need prosecuting period.
