@57:09 – early depiction of a gay bar on film. Historically important.
Top little film, some real gems from the British film industry around the late 50’s to the early sixties … then they went camp .. pity
Thank you .😄
With this intro you can tell by the music that it was made in the '60s. Lol
Has Paul McCartney seen this movie?
Thank you for the great film.
And the resolution was fantastic 🎥
Good stuff. A real shame that Ian Hendry later drank himself to death.
Good film. Not a comprehensive review I know but it is a good film.
I really enjoyed this movie!! So glad you posted it! Thank you!
Excellent movie. Great acting! A young Jane Asher just pre Paul McCartney. Thanks for uploading 👍
So confusing
Was that Dave Allen as a copper at 59 mins?
Thanks Flick Vault ! It's all a bit different from how crime is dealt with now !
Can't believe Jane Asher and Jeremy Brett. Ronald Fraser was excellent in the original Flight of the Phoenix, and superb in The Wild Geese.
Excellent film.
Yessiree bob! In the past week/10 days I seen a bunch of modern and early American flicks, and not one can compare with this single Noir period, English pic. Everything about it, especially its mild-mannered undertones is actually what kept me on the edge of my seat. You know, all the "shoot 'em ups", Tai Kwan Do finale foot races and obligatory car chases, I think the most irritating facet of the American flicks is every interior setting is so sterilized, spic-n-span, not a single thing out-of-place beautiful with the. Seal of Good Housekeeping. Where every girl is under 25 y.o. with perfect Colgate smiles and drop dead gorgeous body's.
Ian Hendry was so handsome and talented!
Beautiful 60’s!
ended up watching this three times!
Lumme! Theyre cast as a pair of cops in this one. Obviously their 'bad boy' talents were yet to be realised..
Shut that dog up someone! 😉
Mmmm, I'm slavering at the bit for this one, two iconic villains of the 50's/60's Brit Film era.. Ian Hendry and Ronald Fraser, together with a fledgling performance from a young Jane Asher no less.
Last but certainly not least the icing on the cake is Jeremy Brett, my fave Holmes of all time, who's name I immediately clocked on the opening credits.. Magnifico!
WOW WOW WOW T Y FOR POSTI NG THIS GEM IAN HENDRY WAHT AN ACTOR UNDERATED IN MY OPPINION , THEY SHOULD HAVE MADE A SERISE OF THESE TO DECTIVES ,
OLD 60IES LONDON , HAD FUN LOOKING FOR THE PLACES I NEW AS A YOUNG MAN, EDGE OF SEAT STUFF WITH A LITTLE HUMOR IN IT LOVED IT TY
Really enjoyed this. Wonder why they didn’t make a trilogy with the other two books. Hendry and Fraser superb as always.
Jolly good film, but had a nagging impulse to redo Jane Asher‘s hairdo when she was on scene. Ugh, 60s were not very stylish for women.
