CRIME MOVIE: Dressed to Kill (1946) aka Prelude to Murder | SHERLOCK HOLMES movie | mystery movies | Basil Rathbone | Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson | A convicted thief in Dartmoor prison hides the location of stolen Bank of England printing plates inside three music boxes (each of which plays a subtly different version of “The Swagman”). The boxes are sold at a local auction house.
The brain of the gang belongs to a darkly beautiful, ruthless woman, who is also a “consummate actress,” as Holmes learns. She disguises herself as a charwoman and speaking Cockney, insults and berates both Holmes and Watson, whom she pretends not to recognize, and leaves with a music box right under their noses. Holmes must recover the last music box to crack the secret code contained in the tune before it is too late.

the female antagonist, is quite possibly the most beautiful woman I've ever seen on the silver screen, I forgot her name, but her beauty is enough to make me wanna build a time machine. =p
Love Sherlock, no one solves a crime better
It has always amazed me the ridiculous hats women will wear. LOL Only a clown could outdo a woman in hats. Maybe.
the writers have Sherlock not even suspicious of a maid that let's strangers in the masters house , unattended.
Apart from the "skip ads button" working overtime, the usual excellent performances by Holmes and Watson. Basil Rathbone has always been my favourite in the role and you won't be disappointed, remembering that in 2020, this film is now 74 years old. Regards from Lock Down England November 2020.

Another great film about the Great Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. Quality of the video is quite good.
