  1. Miss Mitchell…didnt set out to write.aRACIST. novel…..its a LOVE story set in time of tbe. Civil War..period……one of the enduring and frustating romance…EVER….the servants..the soldiers…the families. The lovers…JUST HAPPENED TO COME ALONG FOR THE RIDE……No romance inhistory has caused such a stir… IT STILL DOES…and tbis "race"thing is superfluous……ridiculous….GET OVER IT….ITS A NOVEL/MOVIES….!!!!!

  2. It's funny that back during World War II Black GIs were fighting racists overseas while also back at the homefront against Jim Crow and other segregation laws.

  3. Last time I watched GWTW I was 10 years old (24 years ago). Today I was looking for different scenes from the movie…and omg, I'm obsessed with Hattie!!!!!! I read that during those times, she only got maid roles but look at her!!! She is singing on this one!! I love love love her. She is truly talented and I'm glad she won an Oscar. I'm looking forward to watch some of her movies.

  4. Fabulous! actors at their finest !!!! Hattie McDaniel my favorite of all times , Amazing actress their are non like her …..WELL loved Cicley Tyson another one the greats and favorite of mine !

  5. Just PURE talent from EVERYONE!!!!!! I wonder are the children living who were in this scene…… is ANYONE living from the movie? Or there Heirs????? If so…. where are they??????

  6. 2020 recommendation? Yo! During WWII They said that US BLACKS WERE IN THE WAR! It has now come to my attention that we were in this movie! lmfaooo

  7. Regardless of its context, her performance in Gone With the Wind was also undeniably fantastic. She got an Emmy for it and deserves the credit. I didn't realize she could sing!

  8. Nice film, but imagine if Black Americans could have show their true selves back then, instead of having to stretch their eyes ? in e every scene, n speak gibberish, oh what a musical that would’ve been!!!!!

  9. Of course..they just HAD to have white men directing the production..while the blacks did their stereotypical thing on stage..
